Inscriptions: on the keyboard cover inlaid in brass: Erard. In many places pressed: 21118; on the damper lever A₂ inked: 1849 S; on the soundboard in black paint: Par Brevet D’ Invention / Erard a Paris / /49;  on the left side of two frame stress bars pressed: CHATILLON S. S.
